Eligibility
Open to all artists, 18 years of age and
older. All types of art media are eligible. Works must be original, must
have been produced in the past three years and must never have been
exhibited in Brush with Burden. All artwork must be priced and available
for sale.
Entries
A maximum of three entries will be
accepted from any artist. Entries first will be accepted as JPG or TIF
(300 dpi) images, on disk only. Works to be in the exhibition will be
selected based on the digital images submitted. Only one digital image
should be submitted for each two-dimensional work. A maximum of five
digital images may be submitted for each three-dimensional work.
Multiple entries can be placed on one CD. Each disk must be labeled with
artist's name. Each work on the disk must be titled. You must include
the following information for each entry: artist's name, title, medium,
size and sales price. Maximum size of each piece of artwork, excluding
outdoor sculpture entries, is 48 inches by 48 inches. Please see below
for outdoor sculpture requirements. Any artwork that differs from the
digital image will be disqualified.
Outdoor Sculpture Requirements: All pieces
must be structurally sound, made of durable materials appropriate for
extended display in a public outdoor space and capable of being securely
anchored. For each entry, please include a detailed drawing and
description of your installation plan, showing how each piece will be
installed and secured. Artists need to plan appropriately for wind and
other weather-related factors. Recommended size for outdoor sculptures
is approximately 3 feet to 7 feet. No cranes or other heavy equipment
will be allowed on the property for the placement of sculptures.
Disks will be returned if submitted with a self-addressed, postage-paid envelope.
