Art Opening Tonight!!
The Bossier Arts Council is thrilled to announce a partnership with Community Trust Bank to feature local artists at three of their banking centers in the Shreveport Bossier area. The premier artist for this partnership is Barbara Rushing whose work will be on display from February through April 2013. The banking centers featuring artwork are the Line Avenue Branch, 3400 Line Ave., Shreveport, LA 71104, and the Bossier City Banking Center, 2790 Airline Dr., Bossier City, LA 71111. The third Banking Center, located at 1350 East 70th St., Shreveport, LA 71105, will feature Barbara Rushing's artwork through May 2013.
A reception honoring Barbara Rushing will be March 21st from 5-7pm at the Line Avenue Banking Center.
When asked about her creative process Barbara answered "I love the learning process in art and love color. I recently started taking saxophone lessons. My three children, Dr. Donna Rushing, Mrs. Nancy Hayes of Austin, and Dr. Paul Rushing and nine grandchildren are all supportive of my art shows."
