Artist One Stop Class for the Spring
All classes are free with a Bossier Arts Council Membership $25. Memberships are good for 12 months from the date paid. To register please call 741-8310 or email Leigh Anne Chambers at email@example.com.
Build an Artist Talk: (Thursday 11th 5:30-7:30pm) Every artist should have a talk prepared to go! BAC will get you ready using the free and online software of Prezi. In two hours you'll be ready to go with your very own "Artist Talk" and we'll practice to boot! Limited to 10.
Build a Budget: (Saturday 27th 1-3pm) Being an artist can be tricky and sometimes the trickiest part is managing your money! Have no worries BAC's Comptroller/Gallery Coordinator Steven Belk is here to save the day! In this two hour class he will teach you how to build a budget in Excel and give helpful tips for managing your money.
Set up a CAFÉ Account: (Thursday 9th 5:30-7:30pm) Ever wish that applying for shows could be easy? Well, we have a solution for the busy artist my CaFE! By utilizing https://www.callforentry.org/ website you can have access to regional, national, and international shows. We'll be setting up our accounts together so you'll have all the information you need.
REALLY Basic Computer Skills: (Saturday 18th 1-3pm) Does the thought of turning on a computer overwhelm you? Do you find them just a tad bit imposing? Then this is your class. BAC will walk you through some basic computer skills like transferring files onto a jump drive, saving a document, or downloading documents from online.
Learn to Mail Merge: (Saturday 15th 1-3pm) Mail merges can be fun and easy too with Excel. BAC will walk you through the process of creating a mail merge which can be handy when sending our promotion materials or even your Christmas list!
Build a Flyer in Publisher: (Saturday 29th 1-3pm) Have an event coming up? Need to build a flyer to attract that audience? Then let us help you utilize the program Publisher to create just what you need. In two hours you'll be well on your way to a well attended program.
